PURPOSE:To perform exchanging of guide devices extremely rapidly and readily by removably fastening the cartridge box placed with a guide device. CONSTITUTION:A guide device is integrally contained in a cartridge box 5 for rolling rolls 9 and is mounted removably by a cylinder 7 to the inner housing 8 of the rolling mill. To exchange the guide, the depression of the upper and lower clamp cylinders 7, 7 is released to release the cartridge inner box 5 from the inner housing 8 and is removed to outside the rolling mill by means of guide loader hooks, 6, 6 through the use of a crane or the like. When an exchanging maching is used at the exchanging, the cartrige box 5 may be tilted to the horizontal position by the operation of its cylinder and may be conveyed to the exchanging position readily by a crane or the like. |
