PURPOSE:To make possible the adoption of nearly the same casting plan as for sand mold and to enable to be obtained an article of cast metal having a high soundness, by regulating heat flowing by providing adiabatic zone around the hot top of mold. CONSTITUTION:The heat insulating materials 6, 7, such as a high quality glass fiber mat etc., are charged around the upper hot top 2 and the side 3 of high temperature ceramic mold and are buried fixing by the press sand 8. Hot top effect is fully displayed so as not to be cooled the hot top 2, 3 by the open air by the existence of the above materials 6, 7. Moreover, casting having a high soundness, is obtained by adopting locally forced cooling method flowing cooling air, etc. for the vacant space 5 provided in the baking mold 4. |
