PURPOSE:To improve error corrections by obtaining an error detecting function of high quality by adding a parity check circuit including a transmission system and error correcting circuit including an additional parity bit, in addition to the error correcting circuit of a memory element part. CONSTITUTION:A CPU side is provided with parity code generator PG9 for data and parity code checker PC10. Then, this is equipped with error correction code ECC encoder 3 which adds one parity bit, transmits the signal as well as data bits, and includes a parity bit added to a memory unit MEM side, and error correction code ECC decoder 5, besides parity check circuit PC10 including a transmission system and OR circuit 11 including even an added parity bit. Consequently, the error detecting function of high quality can be obtained and error corrections can remarkably be improved. |
