摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of an induced current in the titled heating element at the time of the discharge of members to be joined by converting the structure of the element into a divided structure consisting of a plurality of resistance half segments and leaving a gap between the segments to electrically insulate them. CONSTITUTION:When members 1, 1 such as plasma tubes having looped glass joining faces 2, 2 are joined, resistance heating element 3 consisting of a pair of resistance half segments 4, 4 is interposed between faces 2, 2, and predetermined gap 7 is left between segments 4, 4 to electrically insulate them. By applying a voltage to element 3, element 3 is allowed to heat, and glass faces 2, 2 are brought to melt by heating and glass is joined together with buried element 3. Since segments 4, 4 are mutually insulated, no electrically conductive loop is formed along the circumferential wall of plasma tube 1 where discharge is generated in the axial direction, so the generation of an induced current in element 3 is prevented.</p>
