The kit for adding a wide foot-rest that can be raised or lowered by action of a switch accessible to a seated person in a wheelchair includes a stationary frame attached to the wheelchair, two foot-rest support beams pivoted from the rear of the frame and directed forwards, and a bidirectional electric actuator pivotally mounted between the front of the frame and a link between the support beams. Adjustments to match a variety of wheelchairs include extendable ends of the support beams pivotally supporting the foot-rest with adjustable stops to limit downward rotation of the free edge of the foot-rest. |
