PURPOSE:To avoid waste of consumed power at the time of non-employment of the device by enabling breaking of a power source when a prescribed time passes after a timer is started in the calorie balance which is capable of indicating the calorie of an article. CONSTITUTION:When the device is not operated for twenty minutes from the time when a start key of a key board 21 is charged, a microprocessor 50 switches a high- level signal for the base of a transistor 38 to a low-level signal and thereby a cell 31 is separated. When a weighing operation is conducted during these twenty minutes, a true-value weight register MTRU turns greater than zero, and when a key input is conducted during this period, a time memory MT is re-set, conducting recounting. And, when a state of weighing is left as it is for twenty minutes from re-staring of a timer or when no subsequent key input is conducted, the processor 50 switches the high-level signal for the base of the transistor 38 to the low-level signal, separating the cell 31 also in this case. |
