PURPOSE:To enable overflow and a contained condition of envelopes to confirm by providing a flapper for guiding the under surface of an envelope to lead into a containing box of an envelope containing apparatus in an envelope deposit machine and the like so as to parallel with a detection lever adapted to be revolved. CONSTITUTION:The envelope 5 is conveyed by means of rollers R5, R6 along the direction of an arrow A, the end of the envelope 5 strikes a detection lever 4B from behind to rotate it along the direction of an arrow B around a pin 4A. Further advancing the envelope 5, its conveyed along the detection lever 4B and through an end portion 4F' of a flapper 4F parallel with the lever 4B and another end portion 4B' of the lever 4B along the direction of a broken line A' to be contained in a box 4A. At this time, a switch 4E is made ON owing to a temporary rotation of the detection lever 4B. The switch 4E is made OFF after a predetermined time duration is passed to output a containing confirm signal. When, as shown by a two-dotted chain line, the envelopes of predetemined number are piled, the switch 4E is kept at its ON condition owing to a rotation of the detection lever 4B, signalling an envelope overflow signal. |
