PURPOSE:To provide a retainer comprising a needle roller retaining portion and a lid portion which are respectively formed of polyamide-group heat-proof resin and fitted and adhered to each other, which can facilitate machining and eliminate the need of oiling. CONSTITUTION:A retainer includes a cylindrical cage-like roller retaining portion 1 formed of polyamide-group heat-proof resin. The retaining portion 1 comprises a lot of grooves 4 for enclosing a needle roller and teeth 3 interposed between the grooves 4, which are disposed on the cylindrical portion thereof. The retainer includes a disc lid portion 2 formed of the same material as the retaining portion 1, which is provided with holes 6 of the same number as that of the teeth 3 arranged peripherally. The end surfaces of teeth 3 of the retaining portion 1 are respectively provided with projections 5 engaged with the holes 6. In assembling, rollers are respectively inserted into each groove 4 of the roller retaining portion 1, and then the lid portion 2 is assembled in such a manner that each hole 6 of the lid portion is engaged with each projection 5 of the retaining portion 1, which are adhered by adhesives, ultrasonic welding, or high- frequency welding to provide a complete unit. |
