During precision grinding of a work-piece (1) having a through-going aperture (la), at least one end surface (1b) and a concentric, conical or cylindrical surface in the aperture (lc), a gear-box pinion with a synchronisation cone, for example; the aperture and end surface is ground out via a grinding disc (3) borne upwards at the end of a movable grinding spindle (2) which moves on its axis, and at an angle to the aperture's axle. Simultaneously, the concentric surface is being ground via a course and fine grinding disk (5,6) borne upwards in the tooth meshing of another grinding spindle (4), which is parallel with, and horizontally deployed, in relation to the aperture's axle. These combined grinding operations offer exceptional standards in roundness and straightness for apertures and cone shapes or cylinder surfaces, as well as in concentricity between aperture and said surface.<IMAGE> |
