PURPOSE:To obtain a device which is easy to mount and can detect abnormal sounds effectively by coupling a sound detecting sensor acoustically to the end face near the inside hole in the rotating part of a rotating machine. CONSTITUTION:A recess 10 is formed in the central part on the end face of an intermediate shaft 9 connecting a rotating machine to be tested and a rotating machine for driving, and a sound detecting sensor 3, a sound transmission module 41 which is a part of a signal transmission part 4, and an electric power source module 44 are mounted in the recess 10. The sensor 3 is adhered with a piezoelectric element 32 on the inside circumferential surface of a tapered circular ring shoe 31 and is further provided with an elastic body 33 on the rear surface of the shoe 31, which are so arranged that the ring shoe 31 is brought into press contact with the end face around the inside hole 24 of a rotating shaft 21 by the pressing force of said elastic body and the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the elastic body. When grease or the like is coated on the press contact surface of both, both are coupled acoustically, and the internal surface waves 25 propagating on the surface of the hole 24 are detected. |
