PURPOSE:To raise the quality of printing by equalizing the density of an ink ribbon as well as making its thicknes thinner by a method in which a raw cloth is heat-cut, coated with an ink, and then rolled by a roll whose surface is provided with large numbers of embossed portions. CONSTITUTION:A raw cloth 11 is cut into a ribbon width and then rolled in a rolling process 13 to equalize the textures of warp and filling yarns. Then, the cloth so treated is coated with an ink and subjected to an aging process. The roll used in the rolling process 13 has a surface having large numbers of embossed portions with striped pattern (a), crossed pattern (b), a parallel pattern (c), a partly embossed pattern (d), etc., in which the preferred distances between the projected portions are 0.1-0.2mm. in pitches. The rolling process 13 may be performed after the ink coating process. |
