PURPOSE:To shorten the time required to complete a desired program by displaying the relay ladder circuit diagram of a source program on a display screen and detecting an error in the circuit diagram. CONSTITUTION:A key input device 4, a CRT display device 5, and a display control circuit 52 which displays the relay ladder circuit diagram of the source program on the device by receiving an input from the device 4 are provided. The relay ladder circuit diagram displayed on the screen of the device 5 is converted into an object program consisting of machine words with an assemble starting key. Then, whether there is a specific error in the relay ladder circuit diagram or not is detected through a data memory 54, etc. If the error is detected, the error point is made different in display brightness from other parts and an error message showing the kind of the error is displayed by making the error point in the display screen correspond with the position. |
