The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a hairspring (S) of a timepiece movement from a glass leaf spring, comprising a step of shaping this leaf spring followed by a step of treating said thus-shaped leaf spring such as to obtain a hairspring. During the shaping step, the leaf spring is wound about a heating element (P) enabling the shaping thereof; the leaf spring is thus heated by conduction from the heat source provided by this heating element (P). The temperature of the surface in contact with the leaf spring is near that of the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the glass material.
