In the drive frame for toy locomotives according to the invention, drive wheel sets which are loaded by the weight of the locomotive body and pick up operating current from the track rotate together with other wheel sets, likewise driven, in front of or behind these drive wheel sets, these wheel sets being provided by means of an organic material which is elastic in comparison with metal with a higher friction grip relative to the rail than the metallic drive wheels conducting the operating current. These friction grip wheel sets are mounted in such a way - preferably higher - in the bogeys in such a way that the pressure of the current-transferring drive wheels on the rails is only insubstantially decreased, and all the drive wheels have an optimum friction or contact grip with the track. <IMAGE>
