PURPOSE:To reduce the vibration of a vibrating body by providing an actuator to add a rotating mass in the direction of the tortional vibration of the vibrating body to generate a control torque in the added mass in accordance with the tortional vibration of the vibrating body for absorbing the vibrating energy of the vibrating body by the added mass. CONSTITUTION:When an external force is given to a vibrating body 1 to cause tortional vibrations, an added mass 8 provided near the center of the tortional vibration is rotated in a direction A of the tortional direction of the vibrating body 1. The rotation of the added mass 8 is detected as a relative revolution velocity between the vibrating body 1 and the added mass 8 by a tachometer and as a relative angle between the vibrating body 1 and the added mass 8 by a revolution angle meter 7. These detected values are respectively sent to a control unit 9 for addition, which is sent to an actuator 3. The actuator 3 generates a control torque T in proportion to the relative revolution velocity and the relative revolution angle. |
