PURPOSE:To ensure the locking of a banknote storing box provided with a plurality of shutters, in a cash dispenser, by providing a tiltable locking plate for locking a first shutter in its closed position, to a movable plate which retracts only upon pressing by a push rod and which is applied with a retrieving force by a spring. CONSTITUTION:A banknote storing box 1 is set in a cash dispenser so that a pushing rod 14 presses a movable plate 34, the movable plate 34 and a slide plate 13 are retracted together due to the abutting between elongated holes 37, 38 and pins 35, 36 so that a pin 17 is released from a notch 18 in a first shutter 11, and therefore, shutters 11, 12 are opened by means of links 20, 26. When the storing box 1 is removed, the slide plate 13 and the movable plate 34 are returned to their original positions by means of springs 29, 39, respectively, and therefore, the shutters 11, 12 are closed. At this time even if external force is applied to the shutter 11, it cannot be opened due to the provision of a locking plate 16. Further, even if force is applied to the shutter 12, the movable plate 34 will not moves since a lost-motion exsists between the movable plate 34 and the slide plate 13 and as well the movable plate 34 is urged by the spring 39, and therefore the shutters 11, 12 are not opened.
