PURPOSE:To suppress the evaporation and erasion of a lubricant film on the surface of a magnetic disk and to always maintain the lubricant state in a good condition, by providing a lubricant vapor generating source and a heating means which heats up said generating source to produce the lubricant vapor. CONSTITUTION:A disk revolution drive mechanism 5 is driven to drive a magnetic disk 1, and at the same time a lubricant vapor generating source 10 is heated by a heating means 12 to evaporate a lubricant. The lubricant vapor increases with revolutions of the disk 1 and passes through a filter 13 together with a circulating air current flowing into a circulating atmosphere venthole 8 of a base part 9. Thus the dust, etc. are deleted from the lubricant to obtain the clean lubricant vapor. This clean vapor flows out among disks 1 through each small ventholes 4 linking each other after passing through a central venthole 3 of a hub mechanism 2, and circulates within an airtight container 7 as if the vapor surrounded the disks 1. Thus the evaporation and erasion is suppressed for the lubricant film on the surface of each revolving disk 1, and therefore both the thickness and the lubricant performance of the lubricant film can be kept in a good condition at all times. |
