PURPOSE:To enable use of a press to meet an optimum characteristic according to the merchandise to be treated by incorporating a reduction gear which is freely controllable in speed to a driving mechanism of a slide provided to the press thereby obtaining an optional crank angle-slide displacement curve. CONSTITUTION:A main motor 13 is started and a pressure oil is supplied from a hydraulic source 20 to start pressing. Desired data are inputted from a crank angle-slide displacement curve to a memory 26. The revolution of the motor 13 is transmitted via a reduction gear 9, a clutch 11, a revolving shaft 8, etc. to a crank shaft 2. As the shaft 2 revolves, a pulse signal is inputted from a rotary encoder 24 to a CPU25. The crank angular speed conforming to said speed is inputted from the memory 26 to the CPU25 and the control signal conforming thereto is fed to proportional valves 22, 23. The valves 22, 23 feed the pressure oil conforming to said signal to hydraulic cylinders 10c, 12c which move back and forth circular conical plates 10b, 12b, thereby changing a speed change ratio. |
