CONSTITUTION:When request for announcement is made from a subscriber's telephone 8, an announcing machine 4 operates a microprocessor 4 and an RAM43 and sends out a message relating to the request through a trunk 3 and an exchange 1. During the time in which no request for announcement is made, the announcing machine 4 performs other processing or checking of normalcy of the machine. For instance, if any fault is detected by normalcy check of the machine, the microprocessor 42 confirms that a fault state inhibition section 432 is ''0'', and sets a normal data display bit 431 to ''1'' not to make normal display, and codes and automatically displays the state of fault on a display unit 412. |
