COMPOSITE IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To perform various image synthesis and editing without making a device large-sized neither expensive by forming an electrostatic latent image for optical picture information and generating an ion current in accordance with electric picture information and modulating the ion current spatially to process the electrostatic latent image. CONSTITUTION:After a photosensitive body 6 is charged by an electrostatic charger 7, the image of an original 8 is exposed by a focusing optical system 10 to form an electrostatic latent image. An ion current is generated and modulated spatially in accordance with electric picture information by an ion generating and modulating device 11 to perform charging and the electrostatic latent image is processed. The electrostatic latent image is developed by a developing device 12. Thus, electric picture information is added to an optical image or the optical image is erased partially to perform various image synthesis and editing without making the device large-sized neither expensive.
