An adaptor for end-mill collet chucks (4) is to be suitable for compensating small differences in diameter of the order of 0.5 millimetres and is to be convenient to handle, whilst moreover its production is to involve a low cost outlay. For this purpose, the adaptor is designed as an elastic sheet-metal sleeve (1) which is provided with a longitudinal slot (2) and the outside diameter of which is approximately equal to the maximum receiving diameter of the associated collet chuck (4) and the wall thickness of which amounts to approximately two to three tenths of a millimetre. <IMAGE>
