The bicycle handlebar head with handlebar arms (10) with adjustable angles has a housing which is formed from two halves (14, 17) and has a formed-on bushing (17a) for a steering column. In the housing, a toothed rack (27) which can be displaced axially by means of a threaded spindle (23) or a cylinder piston by means of a handwheel (25) is arranged, the said toothed rack (27) intermeshing with toothed segments (12) of two receptacle pins (11) for the handlebar arms (10). A bushing (21) which is secured to the housing is arranged around the lower end of the threaded spindle (23) or of the cylinder piston, which end protrudes out of the housing (14, 17), a prestressed spring element (28) being located in the said bushing (21) and absorbing impacts which act on the steering column and thus keeping the handlebars as far as possible free of jolts and thus steady. <IMAGE>
