PURPOSE:To improve frictionally contacting force by constructing a V-block which is frictionally brought in contact with a V-pulley, with both hard and soft materials, and generating a large frictional force while reducing the thickness of a lubricating film at the hard material part. CONSTITUTION:A steel V-belt is formed by installing a V-block 3 to a leaf chain in which plural links 1 are mutually overlappedly assembled and connected by means of pins. An embedded body 6 which is embedded in the center of the end face 5 of the V-block 3, is made of a material the hardness of which is different from the body 7 of the V-block 3. Since the hard material member is frictionally brought in contact with a V-pulley, the contact surface pressure increases while making a lubricating oil flow outwardly, increasing the coefficient of friction. |
