The present invention relates to a burner arrangement for furnace installations, in particular for combustion chambers of gas turbine installations, at least one main burner (41) being designed as a premixing burner and at least one pilot burner (47) being arranged in a combustion chamber, and a fuel regulating arrangement regulating the total quantity and the part quantities of the fuel supplied to the main burner (41) and the pilot burner (47) depending upon the load of the firing installation. The burner arrangement is characterised in that it has a pilot burner which, as a result of its construction and/or additional arrangements (54, 55), has a low NOx emission. Preferably, a premixing burner which is regulated separately from the main burner (41) and which can be operated with variable fuel/air mixtures depending upon the total load of the furnace installation is used as pilot burner (47). Additionally or alternatively for diffusion pilot burners, means (54, 55) are provided for supplying inert materials (I) directly into the region of the pilot flame. As a result of both measures, individually or together, the NOx emission of the burner arrangement can be reduced considerably even in the part-load range. <IMAGE>
