PURPOSE:To make the size of a heat exchanger larger without changing the whole size of an air conditioner and improve cooling efficiency by installing said heat exchanger extending over both upper and lower arts of a duct with the folding part of said duct as a center. CONSTITUTION:Air in a car room which is taken in from the intake port 14 of a duct by means of a fan 20 is first cleaned by an air cleaner 19 and, then, guided to the upper course portion 23 of an evaporator provided in the upper course part 17 of the duct, where it is subjected to a first heat exchange and cooled. Then, the air is guided in the folding part 16 and, then, into the lower course portion 24 of the evaporator provided in the lower course part 18 of the duct, where it is subjected to a second heat exchange and cooled. After that, the air is blown out as a cooling air from the blow-out port 15 into the car room via the through holes 22c of a cool box 22. Thereby, the evaporator 21 can be made larger since it is installed extending over both the upper course part 17 and the lower course part 18 of the duct, improving cooling efficiency. |
