PURPOSE:To ensure the uniformity of red hot state and contrive to keep the complete combustion by increasing the amount of heat radiated and dissipated by forming a structure wherein the rate of opening in both side parts of a red hot part, which is arranged at the upper part of one side flat of a flat combustion chamber and the central part of which has a large rate of opening, is made smaller than that of the central part of the red hot part, and at the same time at least the middle and upper portion between both side parts and the central part are separated from each other. CONSTITUTION:Because the rate of opening of both the side parts 9b of a red hot part 9 is lowered than that of its central part 9a so as to suppress the influx of excess air, the air-fuel ratio is properly kept so as to be able to ensure the complete combustion over the whole width of a combustion chamber 7. On the other hand, because the temperatures of the central part 9a and both the side parts 6b are thermally separated from each other by separating the parts 9a and 9b from each other with slits 9c provided between the parts 9a and 9b, no heat dissipation by conduction from the central part 9a to both the side parts 9b occurs and consequently the central part 9c is fully heated up to high temperature over its whole region. Accordingly, a large amount of radiant heat can be supplied through a heat-resisting glass 10a to the front face of an outer tube 8.
