PURPOSE:To improve greatly working efficiency in the fitting of switches, sensors and in wiring by positioning and fixing various switches, sensors, beforehand, on a printed circuit board thence fitting them from the rear side of the mechanical chassis. CONSTITUTION:In the VTR mechanical chassis 1, on both sides of the reel motor 2, a supply reel 3 and a take up reel 31 are arranged freely rotatably on supporting shaft 32, 32. Cassette index 52, error erasing prevention switch 53, supply reel sensor 5, take up reel sensor 51 and connector 54 are fixedly arranged on the PCB 41 and the projection 6 for positioning switches 52, 53 and sensor 5, 51 are engaged in the positioning hole 43 of the PCB 41 and the terminals 50 of the sensor 5, etc., are fixed by soldering by solder-dipping in the electroconductive pattern 44 of the PCB 41 and the various switches etc., are installed on the surface of the mechanical chassis 1 through the fitting holes 11-14.
