PURPOSE:To automate measuring operation and to improve energy efficiency by composing an optical system of elliptic mirrors and plane mirrors and providing a turntable where a sample is mounted, and sending samples to a measurement focus position in order. CONSTITUTION:The optical system consisting of plane mirrors P1, P2, and P3 and elliptic mirrors E1 and E2 is arranged upright in a sample chamber and the turntable 1 is fitted rotatably on a holder 3 fixed to a base 4. Then, samples S are set in a sample holder 14, which is mounted on the turntable 1, and a pulse motor is driven to rotate the turntable 1 intermittently and then many samples S are sent to the measurement focus position in order. Then, light diffused by sample surfaces B is reflected by the elliptic mirror E2, changed in direction by the plane mirror P3, and guided into a spectroscope. Consequently, the whole constitution is made compact and the whole diffuse reflection system is automated. |
