PURPOSE:To record plural radioactive ray images by providing a histogram generating means, a histogram analyzing means and a picture signal selecting means which selects and outputs only a picture signal. CONSTITUTION:The histogram generating part 220 transmits an information H showing the histogram to the histogram analyzing part 221. When a peak area P is present in the vicinity of a signal maximum value Smax in the histogram, the histogram analyzing part 221 obtains the read picture signal range (f) of areas except said peak area P, and transmits a signal Sf showing the range (f) to the picture signal selecting circuit 350. Receiving said signal Sf, the picture signal selecting circuit 350 selects only a picture signal So' within the range (f) among true picture signals So, and inputs it to a recording device 351. When a radioactive ray transmitting part 103B becoming the background of an object 101 is recorded on an accumulating fluorescent sheet 103, the accumulated dosage of the part 103B is greatly high compared with other parts. Thus plural radioactive ray images can be recorded on a picture file.
