PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for use of a large amt. of rolling oil in cold- rolling a steel plate, by applying a mixture contg. at least one particular monomer, oligomer, polymer, etc. as the major ingredient on the surface of the steel plate, curing the coating and rolling the pretreated steel plate having a lubricating cured coating. CONSTITUTION:In cold-rolling a steel plate, mixture contg. at least one active energy ray-curable or heat-curable monomer, oligomer and polymer as the major ingredient is applied on the steel plate to form a coating. The coating is irradiated with an active energy ray or heat-treated to obtain a pretreated steel plate having a lubricating cured coating thereon, followed by cold rolling of the pretreated steel plate. The cured film forming mixture is mixture contg. an active energy ray-curable or heat-curable polymer, oligomer or monomer of (meth)acrylic, polyester or polyamide polymer type contg. a polymerizable unsatd. group or other reactive group in its main chain, side chain or terminal. |
