PURPOSE:To work a scroll lap of scroll members in a short time by softening the scroll lap of the scroll members by means of a heating device and cutting the lap by a cutting toll thereafter. CONSTITUTION:A working device for scroll members includes a rotary table 101, on which scroll members 100 are set, a forming cutting tool 102 for cutting a scroll lap 100a, and a laser generator 103 for heating the lap 100a. The scroll lap 100a is heated up first by the laser generator 103 for softening. After the lap 100a has been softened, the lap 100a is inserted into a scroll groove 106 of the forming cutting tool 102 with the rotary table 101 elevated. Then the scroll member 100 is rotated for cutting the lap 100a by means of the cutting edge of the scroll groove 106. This constitution can work the lap in a scroll form of the scroll member in a short time. |
