PURPOSE:To generate a sentence mixed with KANJI (Chinese character) as vector data, to incorporate it in a graphic picture and to output the result by converting a character to be used into the vector data and registering the result. CONSTITUTION:When a character dot pattern is displayed on a display means 2, a raster vector conversion means 1a applies raster scanning to a dot pattern of a character displayed on the display means 2 and converts it into the character vector data. Subsequently, a code addition means 1b adds the required read code inputted from the input means 3 to the character vector data and the character vector data added with the required read code is written in a vector character storage means 4. When the read code of the character vector data stored in the vector character storage means 4 is inputted from the input means 3, a combinational picture display control means 1d combines the graphic picture displayed on the display means 2 with the character and outputs the result to a line drawing output means 5.
