PURPOSE:To fold the edge parts of a belt easily by using an expansible molding drum, turnup bladders provided on both sides of said molding drum and bush rings provided slidably on the sides of said turnup bladders. CONSTITUTION:A belt material A with a steel cord is mounted on a contracted molding drum 7 and wound about it so that both ends of the material may be forced out. Then, the turnup bladder 14 is expanded by compressed air, part of it is compressed to the inner surface of the edge part 7a of the molding drum 7, the other part 14b situated on the side of said edge part 7a is bulged from the outer surface of the belt material A on the molding drum 1 to the outside to expand the edge part Aa of the belt material A and to bend it in the form of an outward flange. Then, push rings 15, 15 shide on the side of the molding drum 1 and the side edge part Aa is folded on the upper side of the molding drum 1. |
