The cooler consists of two extruded profiles (sections) having a circumferentially closed outer tube (1) and a circumferentially closed inner tube (7) which is situated with the same axis as the outer tube. The inner tube (7) has fins (10) on its outside, and the outer tube (1) has inwardly directed fins (6) at least on its inside. The level of the fins (6) and (10) measured in the radial direction is approximately equal to half the difference between the inside diameter of the outer casing (2) and the outside diameter of the inner casing (8). The casings (2 and 8) of the outer tube (1) and of the inner tube (7) are corrugated. The corrugation crests (3) and the corrugation troughs (5) extend parallel to the casing axis. Arranged on the tube ends are sealing caps via which the medium to be cooled is introduced, and which have the task of sealing off the ends of the flow chamber bounded by the two tubes (1 and 7) and subdivided by the fins (6 and 10).
