Method of fuelling a lime slurry calcining furnace with a solid fuel

A method of fuelling a lime slurry calcining furnace with a solid fuel for calcining lime slurry (CaCO3) to produce calcined lime slurry is described. The solid fuel is gasified with introduction of air to form hot flue gases in a cyclone gasifier 2 which is constructed in conjunction with the lime slurry calcining furnace 3 at temperatures above 1000 degree C at which the ash is obtained in molten form. The molten ash is separated off, preferably in the calcined lime slurry inside the lime slurry calcining furnace.
