The device (1) has an accelerometer (2) sensible to impacts in an axial axis (Y-Y`) of a barrel of a weapon. A microprocessor (3) analyses a signal of the accelerometer during shooting of the weapon. The microprocessor is equipped with an algorithm for counting a number of shots based on a determination and storage of occurrence of shooting according to a detection of characteristic elements of a signature of the accelerometer, where the characteristic elements are previously stored in a memory (4).
