The invention relates to an emptying valve to be used for sanitary purposes and a plug which can be used in such a valve. In this valve comprising a dish 11 and a plug 19 which comprises a valve plate 27 and, on its lower face, a guiding device 20, by means of which the plug 19 is guided so that it can be moved substantially perpendicularly between an open position and a closed position, the valve plate 27 is connected to the guiding device 20 so that it can tilt and be brought back to its initial position, via a spring 25 which is capable of bending or a similar device.
