A seat (10) for a lavatory bowl is proposed, in which a foam-generating device is arranged in bulges (19) of the seat (10) and a foam-dissolving device is arranged on the inside of the lid (11) or in the latter or likewise in bulges of the seat (10). The outlet openings in this arrangement are in each case directed towards the lavatory bowl. In this way, a favourable arrangement of the outlet openings is achieved, with optimum utilisation of the available space and minimal impairment of the design. <IMAGE>
