PURPOSE:To execute multi-media communication by a device having an inexpensive non-telephone communication use common control part, by providing separately a first control part having a telephone call control function and a second control part having a non-telephone communication control function by separating a common control part, and connecting a composite terminal equipment, and an extension telephone set, to the first control part and the second control part, respectively. CONSTITUTION:In case a composite terminal equipment 13 executes a telephone call, a control part 12 converts a code signal to a control signal used between the second control part 2 and an extension telephone set 8, and resends it out to a control part 4 in the second control part 2. That is to say, the first control part 9 executes only a conversion of a control signal of a signal system, a speed, etc., and an exchange, a transmission, various service functions, etc., are realized by the second control part 2. In case of executing a non-telephone communication to a calculation center, etc., the composite terminal equipment 13 sends a data to the control part 12 of the first control part 9 through a control line 7. In this case, it can be selected suitably to execute a dial operation after accumulating the data in a common file 10 once, and to use the common file 10 as only a buffer memory for communication, or the like.
