摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium having high reproduction C/N as transmitted light of a signal bit is absorbed by a light absorptive layer and the light to an optical recording layer is reflected by coating the surface of a substrate successively with the optical recording layer, the light absorptive layer which absorbs a laser beam and protective layer. CONSTITUTION:This optical information recording medium is formed by providing the optical recording layer 12 on the substrate 11 and coating the layer 12 with the protective layer 13. The light absorptive layer 17 which absorbs the laser light is formed to at least the side of the protective layer 13 of such medium where the layer contacts the optical recording layer 12. The light past the bit 14 formed on the recording layer 12 is absorbed by the light absorptive layer 17 existing behind said layer and is hardly reflected to the layer 12 side at the time of projecting the laser beam hv to the layer 12 through the substrate 11 from a pickup and reading the recording data. The difference in the quantity of the reflected light detected in the bit 14 of the recording layer 12 and the other part is, therefore, increased and the reproduction signal of high C/N is obtd. The reflectivity of the laser beam in the layer 17 is required as low as possible at this point and more specifically, the integrated reflectivity is preferably <=5%.
