The jack has at least two threaded rod sections (34,35) which can be fixed together when a rotary force is applied in at least one direction. The sections also lock axially when subjected to this force. The threads follow the same line when the force is exerted. The sections can be fixed together for rotation and axial movement by an axial pin (37) on one section extending into a recess in the other. A handle (41) is provided at the bottom of the recess (38) and at the top of the pin resp. The section threads are connected when the handle is in position. |
