Root filling system (dental)

The invention relates to a root filling system comprising a guide with drive for the drill lowering means, drill lowering means and root post. The guide with drive has the task of guiding the root post axially and thereby achieving axis-parallel preparation of the dental root. In the apical part, the drill lowering means is subdivided into several, preferably cylindrical, portions which taper in the apical direction and in their entirety approximate to the conical shape of the dental root. It may be longer than the dental root in order to prepare the jaw bone for the screw thread of the root post. The lowering head has a concave depression on the surface facing the dental root. The root post tapers in the apical direction in several portions, of which one or more are provided with a, preferably tapping, screw thread. The head of the root post is concave on the side facing the dental root in order to engage around the annular protuberance on the dental root formed by the drill lowering means. The root filling system thus causes stabilization of the filling and makes it possible to use thinner root posts in the apical part, which serves to retain the dental substances as much as possible. The pulp is tightly closed. Use of fixing cements or similar aids is largely avoided.
