This screen has a pretreating chamber with an impeller attached at the face opening of the chamber, and has a post treating chamber having a rotor mounted on a drive shaft common to the impeller. Novel means for feeding diluted water for diluting a prim. pulp slurry fed into the post treating chamber is attached to a slurry inlet of this chamber. A tubular screen member is put between the chambers to them.
