PURPOSE:To separate liquid oxygen from liquid air through a simple device by installing two valves in a channel, a filling layer of strong magnetic material between those valves, and a superconductive magnet and a liquefied gas vessel containing the magnet around this filling layer. CONSTITUTION:This separator is provided with a superconductive coil 4 and current switches thereof, an oxygen collecting material layer 3 of strong magnetic material, a liquid air channel containing the collecting material layer 3 and valves 9, 10, 27 installed before and behind this channel. Liquid air is passed through a magnetic field generated by the superconductive coil 4 to provide for the oxygen collecting layer which attract and attaches oxygen. In addition, the current switches in the superconductive coil 4 are operated synchronizing with the above-mentioned valves before and behind the channel to separate liquid oxygen. This simple device can separate liquid oxygen from liquid air. |
