<p>PURPOSE:To enable the reproduction with good efficiency by detecting/decoding the PCM-ID part of the PCM recording part on a magnetic tape, judging whether it is reproduceable or not and in the case of the reproduction impossible fast-forwarding the tape. CONSTITUTION:When a tape traveling is started, the reproducing RF signal picked up by heads 2A, 2B from a tape 3 is fed to a signal processing part 21. The PCM-ID part recorded on the PCM zone of the tape 3 is detected/ decoded here, whether it is reproduceable or not is judged and a reproduction yes or no judging signal is transmitted to a control part 22. The control part 22 controls a servocircuit 23 according to the signal, driving a drum motor, capstan motor 12 and reel motor 16 in a reproducing mode or fast forwarding mode.</p> |
