A folding wall for vehicle bodies has a peripheral profile which in the closed state of the folding wall rests against a stop via a shoulder. The stop is part of the vehicle body and can, for example, be a rung. In order to prevent metallic contact and thus wear, in particular of the peripheral profile, which is usually produced from a lightweight metal extruded profile, a guide which is preferably dovetail-shaped is provided on the shoulder. A profile consisting of abrasion-resistant plastic, for example polytetrafluoroethylene, can be inserted into this guide. A metallic contact between the peripheral profile and the corresponding stop is thus avoided. In this way, excessive wear on the shoulder of the peripheral profile is avoided. <IMAGE>
