Machine for detaching, along premarked transverse lines of weakness 6, individual sheets 27 from a web 1, especially of paper or the like, this machine comprising: means 3, 4, 5 for driving the web; means 11, which can move transversely to the direction 8 in which the web moves, in order to separate from the web the individual sheets 27; means 28, 29 for positioning the web beneath the separating means; and means 4, 24, 25 for extracting the sheets; the separating means comprising a separating blade 11 mounted in a fixed manner on a carriage 7 and possessing at least one non-tapered active edge inclined at an angle of at most 30 DEG in relation to the plane of the web. <IMAGE>
