A control unit is attachable to a time switch to provide continuous on and off settings and comprises a slider 32 which is manually movable between a normal position in which it allows contacts 20, 21 to be automatically opened and closed by a lever 15 in accordance with the positions of radially displaceable time setting sliders mounted on the periphery of a switching disc, an on position which holds the lever 15 in a permanent contact closed position and an off position which prevents closure of the movable contact 20. <IMAGE>
