In a rapid-motion control system for a push cylinder, in particular for a push cylinder for the longitudinal displacement of a jib section of the jib of a loading crane, having a pressure line connected to the piston side of the push cylinder and a return line connected to the longitudinal side of the push cylinder, provision is made for the pressure line to be connected to the return line via a pressure-medium line in which two opposing non-return valves sit, of which one is designed as a releasable non-return valve with a direction of flow to the piston side. Furthermore, a 2/2-way directional control valve which can be actuated as a function of load is inserted in the return line. The 2/2-way directional control valve is bypassed by a bypass line with inserted non-return valve with a direction of flow to the push cylinder.
