The fancy artefact described has a band (3,4) comprising a core portion (5) made of a first thermoplastic plastic material and decorative portions (6) surrounding the core portion (5) over part of its length. The decorative portions (6) are solid with the core portion (5) and are made of a second thermoplastic plastic material which may have a melting temperature equal to or greater than the melting temperature of the first plastic material. One such artefact may be a wristlet having a pair of bands (3,4) secured to the opposite ends of a watch case (1).
